We have a new Champion! Finished in style with a 4 point Specialty major. Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the TarTan Gordon Setter Club Specialty, held in conjunction with the New Brunswick Kennel Club in Edison, NJ! So very thrilled with my handsome young man! Thank you to judge Mrs. Meghen Riese-Bassel for recognizing my boy and your kind words to us!
Denise and I had a plan and we stuck to it-very limited showing in Specialties only:
Two, 5 point Specialty majors (the first at 8 months old over top 10 ranked Specials, WD, BOW, BOS to Keira’s BOB), Reserve Winners Dog at the 2023 GSCA National Specialty for 3 points, and March 23rd, 4 points.
Thank you so much to Denise Clauser, Victoria Spaid and Sue Scovil, our Windcrest family, Gail Deller for entrusting me with my handsome boy, Pam Radonis Scott for making him shine and taking his lead for one of his Specialty wins (with an assist by Elizabeth Sullivan) and Mike Mathews who is home with 3 dogs and 8 puppies! All of the support and guidance along the way from members of the TarTan GSC and the Gordon Setter Club of America has been invaluable. Now, we’re going out to find some birds this fall! We had to leave early, swimming back up the NYS Thruway in the deluge to relieve Mike of puppy duty. Congratulations to all of the winners!
