I don’t know who’s having more fun, me or the pups. Mixing it up a bit with the addition of puppy condos using old milk crates scavenged from my potting shed, scrubbed and sanitized (and apparently illegal to possess!). They came with me from Arkansas, purchased full of things I probably didn’t need at a yard sale many moons ago. Nonetheless, I may risk extradition should I be discovered! Shhhhh!
As soon as I removed the gate the pups had explored and claimed a couple. I also added a bin to climb on, removed the false floor and puppy platter, since they no longer gathered to sleep there. The forced hot water baseboard heat runs along the back wall of the pen so plenty warm for them. There is also a radiator type heater on the other end to cut the chill from the house when the door is open. They’ve taken to sleeping in their addition by the door, perhaps telling me they were ready to come out of the frying pan and into the real world. No more raised ranch! Not really my style anyway. Fun!
Pups are having their first real food today, their 4 week birthday! So far very well tolerated and they’re full and happy! Keira enjoyed cleaning up the mess. I made time to sit in the puppy pile this morning as I had my coffee and enjoy time with each one. They are just lovely. Looking forward to friends starting to come to help evaluate them, but to me, they are each so very special and bring me such JOY! It’s been a great day in Ravenrose puppy land. 💝
